The DIRFT liftshare scheme has been set up to help all the onsite employees find others travelling the same way as them, so they can share a car and split the costs.

As well as the social and environmental benefits, sharing a car to work every day can save the average commuter around £1000 a year.

The scheme is free and simple to use. If your access to the internet is limited, you can still use the facility simply by contacting the National Car Sharing Call Centre on 08700 11 11 99. Having registered and entered your journey details, a list of all potential matches will be displayed. You are under no obligation to share with the same person every day but the system will simply show you your options.

The DIRFT scheme forms part of the national liftshare scheme, so once you have joined you can also use the site to find others going to, for example, the same football match, London for the weekend, the airport etc.
